Below you’ll find the hip & health guarantee I used when I bred Rottweilers.

You have full permission to use any portion of the guarantee except my name and kennel name. I no longer breed and will not be guaranteeing any puppies or dogs!

Xxxxx Kennels Puppy/Hip & Health Guarantee

It is mandatory that you take your new puppy to your own vet within twenty-four (24) hours of purchase. Failure to do so will void your guarantee! Please set your appointment/tentative appointment in advance!

Congenital Defects

If at any time during the first two (2) years your puppy from Xxxxx Kennels is found to have a congenital defect that develops during the prenatal stage (this includes but is not limited to heart & thyroid), I will replace the dog (same sex) at no charge from my next available litter with one of equal monetary value, after proof of the spay/neuter of the original dog. If you prefer, you may move up to a higher priced puppy by paying the difference.

* Due to the fact that torn ACL’s (Anterior Cruciate Ligaments) are the number one injury in multiple dog homes, at no time will torn/damaged ACL’s be considered to be congenital defects.

Hip Guarantee

If at any time during the first two (2) years your puppy from Xxxxx Kennels is found to have inherited crippling hip dysplasia, I will replace the dog (same sex) at no charge from my next available litter with one of equal monetary value, after proof of the spay/neuter and needed/necessary surgery of the original dog. If you prefer, you may move up to a higher priced puppy by paying the difference.

*Please note: This is not a guarantee that your puppy will pass the OFA, rather a guarantee that your puppy will not have inherited crippling hip dysplasia by the age of two (2) years.

Restrictions on Guarantee

*There is no guarantee, written or implied, if a copy of this guarantee is not signed & dated by both myself & the purchasing owner.
*This guarantee applies only to the original puppy and is nontransferable.
*Any & all return transportation costs are the responsibility of the owner/purchaser.
*No replacement will be given if the puppy has not been registered with the AKC by nine months of age.
*No replacement will be given if the AKC registered name of the puppy does not include the ‘Xxxxx’ kennel name.
*No replacement will be given if the dog (male or female) has been bred.
*No replacement will be given if the dog has been euthanized, except when breeder has given consent due to unbearable pain with no remedy.
*No replacement will be given for any puppy that is diagnosed with any condition that could have been prevented by the new owner(s). This includes, but is not limited to, over-feeding and over-exercise.
*Xxxxx Kennels/Bxxx Xxxxx reserve(s) the right to demand records of veterinary care. If you have not provided proper veterinary care I will not offer a replacement puppy.
*If the puppy has been spayed/neutered the guarantee will still apply with the return of the puppy and signed AKC transfer papers, and the puppy will be replaced with one (same sex) from my next available litter with AKC papers marked for limited registration.
*All returns subject to DNA identification.
*Absolutely no cash/monetary refunds.

IF YOU ARE NOT PICKING YOUR PUPPY UP IN PERSON, YOU WILL NEED TO PRINT THIS GUARANTEE OUT, SIGN IT, DATE IT, AND RETURN IT TO ME VIA MAIL OR E-MAIL. IF YOU ARE PICKING YOUR PUPPY UP IN PERSON, YOU MAY SIMPLY SIGN A COPY OF THIS GUARANTEE AT THAT TIME.

This guarantee pertains only to the Xxxxx Kennels puppy with AKC number_____________________ and microchip number_________________________.
